Featuring various examples of the human intellect, and diverse aspects of our culture, language, arts, and technology, this short transmission prepares the ground for the ambitious Prometheus (2012) mission. In high hopes of making contact with extraterrestrial life-forms, the video contains footage of Captain Idris Janek and his crew preparing for the long journey to the distant exomoon, LV-223, their training, as well as a special greeting to the Engineers from Dr Elizabeth Shaw.

Project Prometheus: Mission is a short film released in 2012 that takes place in 2092 in the Alien timeline. In the Alien movies timeline, it comes after Quiet Eye: Elizabeth Shaw (2092) and before Weyland Industries Testimonial (2092).
