Alien vs. Predator (1993 SNES Game)

Description

"Alien vs. Predator," released in Japan on January 8, 1993, is a beat 'em up developed by Jorudan for the Super Nintendo. It was published there by IGS under the title "Aliens vs. Predator," and by Activision in North America in September 1993. It was the first game to cross the two franchises, and its story is unrelated to Capcom's arcade game of 1994.

On the colony world Vega 4, a work crew digging a subway tunnel under the city of New Shanghai uncovers dormant Alien eggs. The city is soon overrun. The colonists send a distress call to Earth, but a passing Predator ship looking for big game picks it up too. The player controls a Predator who hunts the Aliens through the city and its sewers, then into the forest. Several bosses are Aliens born from animal hosts, such as a dolphin or a bat.

Synopsis
