The Predator films were not released in story order. Prey is set in 1719, long before the 1987 original, and Predator: Badlands takes place in the far future. Predator: Killer of Killers tells three stories set in the Viking age, in feudal Japan and during the Second World War. There are seven Predator films: Predator (1987), Predator 2 (1990), Predators (2010), The Predator (2018), Prey (2022), Predator: Killer of Killers (2025) and Predator: Badlands (2025). The two Alien vs. Predator films (2004 and 2007) bring the total to nine.
Prey is set in 1719 on the Great Plains, among the Comanche. It is the earliest Predator movie in the timeline.
Both films are set in 2004. Alien vs. Predator takes place on Bouvet Island, near Antarctica, and Aliens vs. Predator: Requiem starts right after it in Gunnison, Colorado.
