"Alien: Cult," published by Titan Books in November 2025, is a novel by Gavin G. Smith. Titan presents it as a murder mystery set in the "Alien" universe.
In the affluent, technocratic Alexandria Colony, people are vanishing from the Exhaust Town Strip, a slum in the shadow of Hume City's aerospace port. Witnesses are dying in grisly, mysterious ways. The Hume City police call in Special Agent Tyler Matterton, a rising star of the FBI's Esoteric Crime Unit, which handles crimes involving exotic tech or first contact. His local contact is Detective Jean Hoyle, who went through the FBI academy with him. With his synthetic partner Serena, Tyler follows the killer through the city's underbelly. At the heart of the colony is a cult that will stop at nothing to serve its Goddess.
