Alien: Covenant - David's Drawings is a book released in 2018. Its story takes place around 2103, about 10 years after Prometheus (2093) and about 1 year before Alien: Covenant (2104). In the Alien books timeline, it comes after Alien: Covenant - Origins (2103) and before Alien: Covenant (Novelization) (2104).
"Alien: Covenant - David's Drawings" is a set of two books published by Titan Books in September 2018. Its artists, Dane Hallett and Matt Hatton, created the drawings made by the android David in "Alien: Covenant."
The in-universe sketchbook contains over two hundred illustrations from the set and will take you inside the mind of David. It features the complete arc of his journey from the studies of flora and fauna, to his more sinister experiments on creatures, and the disturbing demise of Dr. Elizabeth Shaw. The companion book, Developing the Art of an Android, holds an interview with the two artists about their work on the film.
Before Alien: Covenant, David was stranded alone on the Engineers' planet and, left to his own dark devices, he began to push the boundaries of creation. This collection of two books follows the android's descent into madness.
