Alien: Covenant is a movie released in 2017. Its story takes place in 2104, 11 years after Prometheus (2093) and 18 years before Alien (2122). In the Alien movies timeline, it comes after The Last Supper (2104) and before Alien: Covenant In Utero (2104).
"Alien: Covenant" (2017), directed by Ridley Scott, is a science fiction horror film and a sequel to "Prometheus" (2012). The story follows the crew of the colony ship Covenant, bound for a remote planet to establish a new human settlement. When they discover what appears to be an uncharted paradise, they soon realize it is a dark and dangerous world. The crew encounters David (Michael Fassbender), a synthetic survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition, and must confront a terrifying alien threat. Fassbender also plays Walter, the Covenant's own synthetic.
The film takes place in 2104, about ten years after the Prometheus vanished in 2093. The Covenant is carrying 2,000 colonists and 1,140 embryos to Origae-6 when a neutrino burst damages the ship. During repairs, the crew picks up a human voice broadcast from an uncharted planet, where David has lived since he left LV-223 with Elizabeth Shaw. These events come 18 years before "Alien" (2122).
The crew of a colony ship, bound for a remote planet, discover an uncharted paradise with a threat beyond their imagination, and must attempt a desperate escape.
