XENOMORPH TIMELINE
Alien: Romulus is a movie released in 2024. Its story takes place in 2142, 20 years after Alien (2122) and 37 years before Aliens (2179). In the Alien movies timeline, it comes after Alien: Isolation - The Digital Series (2137) and before Alien: Night Shift (around 2164).
The year 2142 appears on a computer monitor in the opening scene, as a Weyland-Yutani probe reaches the wreckage of the Nostromo.
"Alien: Romulus" (2024), directed by Fede Álvarez, is the seventh installment in the Alien film series. Set between the events of "Alien" (1979) and "Aliens" (1986), the film follows a group of young space colonizers who encounter the terrifying Xenomorphs while scavenging a derelict space station. This stand-alone film aims to return to the franchise's horror roots.
The story takes place in 2142, 20 years after "Alien" (2122) and 37 years before "Aliens" (2179). Rain Carradine (Cailee Spaeny) and her adoptive brother Andy (David Jonsson), a malfunctioning android reprogrammed by her late father, leave the Jackson's Star mining colony with a group of friends to take cryostasis equipment from the Renaissance, a seemingly abandoned Weyland-Yutani station. Its scientists had been studying the Xenomorph that a probe recovered from the wreckage of the Nostromo.
While scavenging the deep ends of a derelict space station, a group of young space colonizers come face to face with the most terrifying life form in the universe.
