Aliens: Colonial Marines (Game)

Description

"Aliens: Colonial Marines," released in 2013, is a first-person shooter developed by Gearbox Software and published by Sega for Windows, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. 20th Century Fox presented it as a canonical sequel to "Aliens," and Syd Mead designed some of its locations.

Set in 2179, after the events of "Alien 3," the story follows Corporal Christopher Winter. His battalion travels aboard the USS Sephora in answer to a distress call sent by Corporal Hicks 17 weeks earlier. Above LV-426, the Marines find the Sulaco, last seen over Fiorina 161. The ship is full of Aliens and controlled by Weyland-Yutani mercenaries. The fight takes the survivors down to the ruins of Hadley's Hope and to the derelict ship.

The campaign can be played alone or by up to four players. A downloadable campaign, "Stasis Interrupted," came out in July 2013.

Synopsis

Seventeen weeks after Hicks' distress call, the USS Sephora reaches LV-426 and finds the Sulaco in orbit, overrun by Aliens and held by Weyland-Yutani mercenaries. Corporal Winter's unit is caught in the fight.
