Aliens: Defiance - Extravehicular

Description

"Extravehicular" is an "Aliens: Defiance" short story published by Dark Horse Comics on May 7, 2016, in "Free Comic Book Day 2016: Serenity." It was written by Brian Wood and drawn by Tristan Jones, the creative team of the 12-issue series "Aliens: Defiance." Dark Horse released it for the 30th anniversary of the film "Aliens."

In May 2138, six months after "Derelict," the first episode of "Aliens: Defiance," Private Zula Hendricks is still aboard the Europa with Dr. Hollis and the Davis synthetics. Xenomorphs are loose on the ship as it makes an uncontrolled reentry toward the planetoid W76.

The story was meant as a preview of things to come, but the series was rewritten along the way and these events never happen in "Aliens: Defiance." In the digital release and the reprints, the Xenomorph Zula fights was redrawn as a new type of creature.
