XENOMORPH TIMELINE
Meet Walter is a short film released in 2017. Its story takes place in 2103, 10 years after Prometheus (2093) and 1 year before Alien: Covenant (2104). In the Alien movies timeline, it comes after The Crossing (around 2094) and before Phobos (around 2103).
To promote the all-new Walter synthetic line, and to emphasize its fundamental differences from David, the David 8 android that served aboard the USCSS Prometheus (2012), this promotional film is part of a marketing campaign. In a state-of-the-art laboratory, two Weyland-Yutani Corporation technicians supervise the making of a Walter unit, building artificial tissue onto its skeleton and then activating the finished product. The extraordinary Walter model is the perfect companion, created only to serve.
