In 2219, the Geryon reaches LV-223 on what is officially a salvage run. Captain Angela Foster has her own goal: she wants to learn what happened to Peter Weyland and to find the Engineers. The moon is no longer barren. The landing party walks into a thick jungle, then opens an old ship from Hadley's Hope and sets loose the Xenomorphs inside.
Francis Lane, a scientist dying of cancer, believes the black liquid of LV-223 could cure him. He tests it on Elden, his synthetic assistant, and Elden starts to change.
In 2219 the crew of the Geryon reaches LV-223, the moon where the Prometheus disappeared 126 years earlier. Instead of barren rock they find a jungle, and an old ship from Hadley's Hope with Xenomorphs still inside.
