XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Aliens: Field Report" is a short comic book story published by Dark Horse Comics on September 17, 2014, in "Dark Horse Presents" (volume 3) #2. Written by Chris Roberson and drawn by Paul Lee, it is a tie-in to "Aliens: Fire and Stone" and retells part of the film "Aliens" from the point of view of Corporal Hicks.
On July 27, 2179, the Marines go down under the cooling towers of the processing station to look for the colonists of Hadley's Hope. Hicks watches the rear with his shotgun. On Sublevel 3 the squad finds a huge resin structure and what is left of the colonists. Then the Aliens attack.
Later, in the colony's operations room, Hicks records his field report. Automated logs show that the cargo skiff Onager took off after the colony fell. Hicks believes it was an unmanned run. The story was later reprinted as the last part of "Aliens: Fire and Stone."
July 27, 2179. Corporal Hicks follows the Marines into the hive under the processing station on LV-426. Back at Hadley's Hope he records his report and finds that a cargo ship left the colony after the attack.

Aliens: Field Report is a comic released in 2014 that takes place in 2179 in the Alien timeline. In the Alien comics timeline, it comes after Alien Annual (2023) (2156) and before Aliens: Fire and Stone (2179).
