Description

"Aliens: Tourist Season" is a black-and-white short story first published by Dark Horse Comics in "Dark Horse Presents Annual 1997" in February 1998. It was written by Beau Smith and drawn by Gray Morrow.

The Remmington Corporation runs a chain of theme planets for wealthy tourists. Red Rock, Franchise Planet #1889, recreates life in the Old West. Excavations for a new mining town unearth old artifacts that turn out to be hibernating Aliens.

Range Foreman Tom Siringo, a sheriff who seems to belong to another century, is the one man standing between the last tourists and the creatures. With nothing but the technology and weapons of the 1800s, the play-acting visitors have to learn the Code of the West fast.

Synopsis

On Red Rock, a theme planet that recreates the Old West, a dig for a new mining town wakes hibernating Aliens. Sheriff Tom Siringo has only 19th-century weapons to protect the tourists.
