XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Aliens: Extermination," released in 2006, is a light gun arcade shooter developed by Play Mechanix and published by Global VR. Two players stand at the cabinet with mounted guns shaped like pulse rifles and shoot their way along a fixed path.
It has been years since the Colonial Marines left LV-426. Two squads go back to the Hadley's Hope colony after life signs are detected there. The Aliens are waiting, along with facehuggers and leech-like creatures. The Marines also find something new. Weyland-Yutani has reprogrammed an army of synthetic humans to stop anyone who gets in the way of its bio-weapons work. Killing the Queen is no longer enough.
Play Mechanix later made a second arcade game for the franchise, "Aliens: Armageddon," released in 2014.
Years after the events of "Aliens," two Colonial Marine squads return to LV-426. The Aliens are still there, and so is an army of synthetics that Weyland-Yutani has reprogrammed to guard its bio-weapons research.
