XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Alien 3: The Unproduced Screenplay by William Gibson," published by Titan Books in 2021, is a novel by Pat Cadigan. It adapts the first draft that William Gibson wrote for "Alien 3," a script that was never filmed. The cover art is by Mike Worrall, one of the concept artists of "Alien 3."
On its return journey from LV-426, the Sulaco drifts into a sector controlled by the Union of Progressive Peoples. U.P.P. commandos board the ship and find the survivors of LV-426 in hypersleep. A Facehugger attacks their leader, and the others escape with what remains of Bishop. The Sulaco goes on to Anchorpoint, a space station and military installation the size of a small moon. Ripley stays in a coma, and Newt is sent to Gateway Station on her way to Earth. Hicks begins to hear rumors about the cloning of Xenomorphs.
The novel tells an alternate version of the story and is not part of the main continuity.
On its way home from LV-426, the Sulaco drifts into space held by the Union of Progressive Peoples, then docks at the vast military station Anchorpoint. There, Hicks begins to hear rumors of experiments on the Xenomorphs.

Alien 3: The Unproduced Screenplay by William Gibson is a book released in 2021 that takes place in around 2183 in the Alien timeline. In the Alien books timeline, it comes after Aliens: Bug Hunt (around 2179) and before Alien: Into Charybdis (2184).
