Predator 2 (Novelization)

Description

"Predator 2," published by Jove Books in December 1990, is the novelization of the film of the same name. It was written by Simon Hawke from the screenplay by Jim Thomas and John Thomas.

A Predator ship heads for Los Angeles, a city torn apart by a war between drug gangs. Detective Lieutenant Mike Harrigan finds gang members slaughtered by a killer nobody sees. Federal agent Peter Keyes and his team take over the case, but Harrigan does not let it go. Newsman Tony Pope smells the story of a lifetime.

The novel moves the story to 1995, two years earlier than the film. Some chapters are told from the Predator's point of view. They reveal that the hunters know about Dutch Schaefer: after the first Predator died, its ship flew home on its own with a record of the hunt.

Synopsis
