Predator: If It Bleeds

Description

"Predator: If It Bleeds," published by Titan Books in October 2017, is an anthology of sixteen original short stories edited by Bryan Thomas Schmidt for the franchise's 30th anniversary. Contributors include Kevin J. Anderson, Mira Grant, Tim Lebbon, Jonathan Maberry and Steve Perry.

The stories follow Predator hunts across history and into the future. The oldest, "Skeld's Keep," is set among Vikings in 820. Others visit feudal Japan, the American Civil War, Pancho Villa's Mexico and the Vietnam War. "Storm Blood" takes place during Hurricane Katrina, and some stories leave Earth for deep space.

Several stories tie into earlier books. Steve Perry's "Rematch" is a sequel to his novel "Predator: Turnabout." Tim Lebbon's "Devil Dogs" is a prequel to "Predator: Incursion."

Synopsis

Sixteen new stories of Predators hunting humans across the centuries, from Viking raiders and a disgraced samurai to the American Civil War, Vietnam and the far reaches of space.
