XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Alien Resurrection" is a two-issue comic book adaptation of the 1997 film, released by Dark Horse Comics in October and November 1997. Jim Vance adapted Joss Whedon's screenplay, Eduardo Risso drew the interiors and Dave McKean painted the covers.
Two hundred years after Ellen Ripley died on Fiorina 161, military scientists aboard the Auriga bring her back as a clone to recover the Alien Queen she carried. The Betty, a ship full of smugglers, docks with the Auriga to deliver its cargo. When the Aliens escape their cells, Ripley and the smugglers fight their way across the ship.
The comic compresses the story into two issues. It keeps a few scenes from the Special Edition of the film and changes some details: Ripley's acid blood is green, and Dr. Wren wears large goggles throughout.
Two hundred years after her death, Ellen Ripley is cloned aboard the military ship Auriga. When the Aliens bred on board break loose, she and a crew of smugglers must find a way off the ship.
