"Alien Resurrection: The Official Junior Novelization," published by HarperPrism in November 1997, is a novel for young readers by Terry Bisson. It adapts the film "Alien Resurrection," written by Joss Whedon, and includes an eight-page color photo insert.
A top-secret military laboratory in deep space is the scene of an experiment gone wrong. Ellen Ripley has been brought back to life through cloning, against her will. The Aliens are reborn inside hijacked human bodies, and Ripley has to fight them once more. The publisher promised that every encounter and action sequence of the film was in the book.
It was the second junior novelization of an "Alien" film, after "Alien: Tales of Terror" in 1991.
