"Aliens: The Alien" is a short comic book story published by Dark Horse Comics in "Dark Horse Presents" #56 in November 1991. Written by John Arcudi and drawn by Tony Akins and Paul Guinan, it was printed in two halves, one at the start of the issue and one at the end.
After the events of "Aliens: Female War," Earth lies in ruins. The alien Pilot, an Engineer, still hangs in orbit and keeps reshaping the planet with a terraforming beam. The President of the United States and his ministers are summoned to Gateway Station to meet it. Some of the people in the room have their own plans for that meeting.
Dark Horse billed it as a prologue to "Aliens: Genocide." It explains how Earth could become habitable again after the war.
After the war against the Aliens, an Engineer still hangs in orbit above Earth, reshaping the planet with a terraforming beam. The President of the United States is called to Gateway Station to meet it face to face.

Aliens: The Alien is a comic released in 1991 that takes place in around 2194 in the Alien timeline. In the Legacy Alien timeline, it comes after Aliens: The Female War (around 2194) and before Aliens: Renegade (around 2194).
