XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Alien," released in November 1982, is a maze game developed and published by Fox Video Games for the Atari 2600. Programmed by Doug Neubauer, it was the first video game based on the 1979 film, and its design follows the model of "Pac-Man."
The player controls a human moving through the hallways of a spaceship. The goal is to crush every Alien egg in the maze while avoiding the adult Aliens. A flamethrower can stop them for a moment, but it works only once per life. Pulsars scattered through the maze turn the Aliens blue and make them vulnerable to the player's touch.
Once all the eggs are gone, a bonus round begins. The player then has eight seconds to reach the top of the screen and grab the prize waiting there.
An Atari 2600 maze game based on the 1979 film. A lone human crushes Alien eggs in the corridors of a spaceship while adult Aliens roam the halls.
