Aliens: Alien

Description

"Aliens: Alien" is a three-part comic story published by Dark Horse Comics from January to March 1994, in issues 17 to 19 of the anthology series "Dark Horse Comics." It was written by John Arcudi and drawn by Paul Mendoza, who also did the Aliens cover of issue 18.

On an unnamed planet, a village of humanoid aliens lives in fear of the Night Reaper. The beast takes the weakest members of the tribe at night, while the strongest are away hunting. The chieftain, Ar'Jum, puts together a hunting party. The markings on Suom's face show that he has never taken a life, but he is the only one who has seen the Reaper and survived, so he goes too.

It is one of the few Dark Horse Aliens stories to feature an alien species other than the Xenomorphs.

Synopsis

On a distant world, a tribe of hunters is preyed upon at night by a beast they call the Night Reaper. Young Suom, the only one who has seen it and lived, joins the hunting party sent to kill it.
