Aliens: Apocalypse

Description

"Aliens: Apocalypse," originally subtitled "The Destroying Angels," is a four-issue comic book series released by Dark Horse Comics from January to May 1999. It was written by Mark Schultz and drawn by Doug Wheatley, with covers by Schultz.

Twenty years after the Nostromo found the derelict ship, the Geholgod Institute hires deep-space rescue specialist Alecto Throop. Her mission is to find Dr. Lucien Keitel, a founding member of the institute who vanished while following a star map from a second derelict. Throop and her crew follow his trail to a petrified world that was ancient long before life appeared on Earth.

Keitel calls the Aliens his "angels." What he has learned about them may concern the fate of the whole universe. The series anticipates several ideas later seen in "Prometheus."
