Herk Mondo is a professional bug hunter who first appeared in issue 6 of "Aliens: Colonial Marines." He answers a general distress call, counting on a fat reward from the colonists. Instead the planetary defense system opens fire on him. He escapes an underground hive, wounded, only to find the terraforming colony overrun by Aliens.
Unlike most Aliens comics, the Mondo stories are action comedies drawn in a cartoon style. Herk came back in "Aliens: Mondo Heat" in 1996.
