Description

"Predator: Blood Feud" is a four-part short story published by Dark Horse Comics in its anthology "Dark Horse Comics" #4 to #7, from November 1992 to February 1993. It was written by Neal Barrett, Jr. and drawn by Leo Duranona, who also did the cover of issue #4.

In the early 1700s, under the shogun Tokugawa Tsunayoshi, Predators attack Japan. Shinto monks choose a blind swordsman to face one of them in a duel and foretell that the fight will one day resume. In 1992, a Predator attacks a street gang and a dojo in Tokyo while hunting Juta Tanaka, a blind sensei and inventor. Inspector Mitsugi of the Tokyo police calls in the army. General Miyamoto Kataro, a former student of Tanaka, comes to help his old master.

The story was later collected in "Predator Omnibus: Volume 1" (2007).

Synopsis

Three hundred years after a blind swordsman dueled a Predator in feudal Japan, a hunter comes back to Tokyo. Its prey is Juta Tanaka, a blind martial arts master.
