Description

"Predator: The Pride at Nghasa" is a three-part short story published by Dark Horse Comics in its anthology "Dark Horse Comics" #10 to #12, from May to August 1993. It was written by Chuck Dixon and drawn by Enrique Alcatena. Issue #12 has a Predator cover by Derek Thompson.

In late August 1936, workers building a new railroad in the Nghasa basin of the Serengeti are killed one after another. Park rangers John Copeland and Reginald Barrows are told to guide Sir James Neville Ramsay, a famous hunter hired by the crown to kill a lion. In a village on the way, an elder speaks instead of a forest devil that comes each time the hunting star crosses the sky.

The story was reprinted with "Predator: Rite of Passage" in the Dark Horse Classics issue "Predator: Jungle Tales."

Synopsis

Serengeti, August 1936. Railway workers are being slaughtered in the Nghasa basin, and the crown sends a famous hunter to kill the man-eating lion. The villagers say it is a forest devil.
