XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Tarzan versus Predator: At the Earth's Core" is a four-issue crossover comic book series released by Dark Horse Comics from January to June 1996. It was written by Walter Simonson and drawn by Lee Weeks, who also did the covers.
The series brings Edgar Rice Burroughs' Tarzan back to Pellucidar, a land of primeval jungle inside the Earth. Word reaches him that its best warriors and strongest beasts are being killed, and that his friend David Innes, ruler of Pellucidar, has disappeared. The killers are a band of Predators who have made the inner world their hunting ground. When they go after Jane, Tarzan declares war. The Ancient of Days, last of the telepathic Mahars, sees a chance to rule Pellucidar again.
The title refers to Burroughs' 1930 novel "Tarzan at the Earth's Core." Like the other crossovers, the story is outside the official Predator continuity.
Someone is killing the greatest warriors and beasts of Pellucidar, the primeval world at the center of the Earth, and its ruler David Innes has vanished. Tarzan goes below to find the hunters.
