XENOMORPH TIMELINE
"Alien vs. Predator," released in October 1994, is a first-person shooter developed by Rebellion and published by Atari for the Atari Jaguar. It was Rebellion's first game in the franchise. Ideas from its cancelled sequel were later used by Rebellion in "Aliens versus Predator" (1999).
The game is set in a simulation of Golgotha, a Colonial Marines training base built by Weyland-Yutani, where a Predator ship and an Alien ship have docked. The player picks one of three scenarios. The Alien must free its Queen, held captive aboard the Predator ship, and can cocoon Marines to gain new lives. The Predator hunts the Queen to claim her skull, and loses weapons if it kills while cloaked. Private Lance J. Lewis leaves the brig with no weapons and must set off the base's self-destruct before escaping in a pod.
On the Golgotha training base, the player is an Alien freeing its Queen, a Predator hunting her skull, or a Colonial Marine trying to escape the overrun station.
