Predator: Big Game

Description

"Predator: Big Game," released by Dark Horse Comics from March to June 1991, is a four-issue comic book series. It was written by John Arcudi and drawn by Evan Dorkin, with inks by Armando Gil and covers by Chris Warner.

Corporal Enoch Nakai, a young Navajo, is stationed at Cole Army Base in Cibola County, New Mexico. On a patrol, his friend Dietl is killed in an ambush and Nakai barely gets away. The army has just found an alien ship nearby and wants the matter kept quiet. When the base is destroyed, the creature starts hunting soldiers and civilians around the town of Agate. Nakai sees in it the "adilgashi" of his nightmares, a figure of Navajo legend, and sets out to face it.

The series was adapted as a novel by Sandy Schofield in 1999. Nakai returns in the comic story "Predator: Blood on Two-Witch Mesa."

Synopsis

In the New Mexico desert, Navajo corporal Enoch Nakai survives a Predator ambush that the army wants to hush up. When the hunter destroys Cole Army Base and turns on the region, Nakai goes after it alone.
