Description

"Predator: Kindred" is a four-issue comic book series released by Dark Horse Comics from December 1996 to March 1997. It was written by Jason R. Lamb and Scott Tolson, with pencils by Brian O'Connell and Roger Peterson. The covers are by Igor Kordey.

In 1958, a Predator killed a hunter in the woods outside Fleener Creek, Oregon, in front of his young son Buddy Wilcox. Thirty years later, during a record heat wave, the serial killer James McCutcheon escapes while being transferred and hides in the Red Ridge hunting grounds. Sheriff Kelly Mathis goes after him. Buddy, now a family man whom nobody in town believes, heads back into the forest to find the creature.

The main story is said to take place in the present day, thirty years after 1958.

Synopsis

Fleener Creek, Oregon, summer 1988. A serial killer escapes into the woods during a record heat wave. Buddy Wilcox is sure that the monster that killed his father there thirty years ago has come back.
