Predator: Dark River

Description

"Predator: Dark River," released by Dark Horse Comics from July to October 1996, is a four-issue comic book series. Written by Mark Verheiden and drawn by Ron Randall, with inks by Rick Magyar and painted covers by Miran Kim, it closes the John Schaefer trilogy begun with "Predator: Concrete Jungle" and "Predator: Cold War."

Schaefer is still searching for his missing brother Dutch. After a drug bust, a prisoner named Mercer claims he flew the helicopter that pulled Dutch out of the jungle in 1987. Schaefer follows the lead south. There a local strongman who calls himself El Presidente fits him with an ankle tracker and orders him to kill a Predator that a native tribe worships. Schaefer knows this one. He thought he had killed it years ago.

Unlike the first two chapters, "Dark River" was never adapted as a novel.
