"Aliens: The Computer Game" is the title shared by two different games based on the 1986 film "Aliens." The first, developed by Software Studios and published by Electric Dreams Software in December 1986, came out on the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64 and ZX Spectrum. The second, made by Activision for the Commodore 64 and Apple II, was renamed "Aliens: US Version" in Europe.
In the Electric Dreams game, the player commands six characters from the film, including Ripley and Hicks, inside an atmosphere processing plant of 255 rooms. Each of them wears a helmet camera, and the player switches from one view to another. The goal is to reach the Queen and destroy her and her nest.
The Activision game is a chain of six mini-games, from piloting a ship from the Sulaco down to the planet to fighting the Aliens.
